Lage und Freizeit
Since its foundation, Kemaliye has had the characteristic of being a place where different cultures live together. The traces of this common culture are reflected in the details. The houses, which are formed by mulberry, walnut, sycamore, poplar trees and and located in thousand tons of green, offer the best examples of harmony between the natural environment and architecture. Deep in a valley between the canyons placed in a small and cute town in Kemaliye, the first thing that strikes your eyes is wooden houses and knockers on the doors of these houses. Kemaliye houses and doorknobs, which tell the history and sociological structure of Kemaliye, are the most prominent features of the city. The mountainous structure of Kemaliye provides a quite appropriate environment for nature sports. “International Nature Sports Festival” is organized every year in Kemaliye.
