Art is often considered the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a waythat appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses various human activities, creations, and ways of expression, including music, literature, film, sculpture, and paintings.Children of all ages love arts and crafts. They love getting creative, messy, and admiringtheir masterpieces when they have finished, and the great thing with arts and crafts is thatthey are aiding their development in many other areas. As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve. When childrenexperiment with materials, they dabble in science. Most importantly, perhaps, when kidsfeel good while creating, art helps boost self-confidence. This unrestricted explorationhelps children form connections in their brains. It helps them learn, and it s also fun. It isa natural activity to support this free play in children.Art and craft are a fundamental part of our everyday lives, and encouraging children tolearn about them will only benefit them as they get older. Art can help a child develop theirfeeling skills, while craft will develop their thinking and coordinating skills. Art is acommunication of this common story that can bring us all together as humans. Art isimportant because other humans are important, allowing us to understand each other. This project is developed to improve children s creativitythis aids children in thinkingcreatively and how to connect with their imagination. Creativity can make childrenhappier. They express their emotions through arts and crafts, making them feel calmer andhappier. It s wonderful for children s development. Art and crafts projects allow a child topractice their skills, like coordination (e.g., cutting, shaping), understanding shapes andcolours, and exploring their hidden interests and talents. Both ways, it can bring about positive life-enhancing change to you and the Nepalesepeople. As a volunteer, you will be given the unique opportunity to teach arts and crafts ofyour choice and learn the trade through the artistic lens of the Nepalese people. Arts andcrafts would also include dance. Here s your chance to make a creative difference in Nepalthrough art.

Ranging from two weeks up to 10 months depending on the project, FFN has hosted more than 3000 volunteers from all over the world so farFFN s commitment to volunteering work in Nepal is commendable, as it can contribute to the country s development and promote positive change. Volunteering work can be an effective means of promoting cross-cultural understanding and cooperation. Volunteers can gain a deeper appreciation of Nepali culture and traditions by working alongside local communities while sharing their experiences and perspectives. Volunteering can also help to build trust and friendship between people from different backgrounds, leading to a more peaceful and harmonious world. Ranging from two weeks up to 10 months depending on the project, FFN has hosted more than 3000 volunteers from all over the world so farFFN s commitment to volunteering work in Nepal is commendable, as it can contribute to the country s development and promote positive change. Project hosted by

Children s Development is one of the major programs at VIN s Integrated Community Development Approach. The Goal of the Children s development program is to protect the rights of all children by providing them access to basic quality education, developing their life skills (creativity, leadership etc.) and providing access to health and hygiene services. VIN has different projects under children s development program such as Children s Clubs (CC), Early Childhood Development (ECD), School Attendance (Teacher Development, Parenting Education, School Infrastructure Development, and Child Sponsorship), and Child Care. Even these days in Nepal, schools are focused mainly on examination and are not doing enough to develop life skills like creativity and leadership for children. Teachers only focus on reading and writing U? 1/2 rote learning. Creativity and individual differences in children are not explored. Due to the busy work schedule of parents, most of the children do not have an opportunity to socialize and be creative. These types of camps are so essential to provide life skills development opportunities to children aged between 5-12 years old. We work only with disadvantaged communities as these families cannot afford to take their children to holidays during their Winter and Summer breaks. Children don t have a proper structure and environment at home or a school to develop their innate talents. Children s camp (during winter and summer breaks) is one of the best places to explore their natural skills such as creativity and leadership. In this work camp, national and international volunteers will facilitate different types of fun and creative activities for the children where VIN works. Objectives: U? 1/2 To provide unique opportunities for overall development (social, emotional, physical, mental, creativity) and provide a fun time for children aged between 5 and 12 utilizing their vacation period. U? 1/2 To promote friendship, understanding, and solidarity among local young volunteers and cross-national volunteers. U? 1/2 To provide an opportunity to understand and appreciate the Nepalese culture and traditions via cultural immersion.
