Logement et nourriture

Volunteer will stay together at volunteer's house inside the village. Food will be prepared by local chef but you will be asked to serve, clean, and wash dishes by yourself.

There are plenty of tourist attraction sites such as Teuk Chhou, Bokor national park, Rabit island, and more.. that you can explore during your free day. CLC is on open space in the remote area so beside your free day touring you can also have fun by interacting with local people, teenagers and children during your free time by organizing different activities so bring your flexibility and creativity.

CYA - Learning Center (CLC) is located in the remote area of Kampot province. It takes about 2 hours 30 minutes from Phnom Penh. The increasing number of students dropped off school is our big concern that need immediate action, Precious local culture is losing follow the globalization therefore, we are going to work with local people to preserve and protect this culture heritages. CLC is a project operating by CYA and it started since 2014 to; (1) promote higher education among local children and teenagers, (2) To preserve and protect local culture heritage, and (3) to improve the living condition of local people.

Organize workshops with local people to promote the understanding of mangroves forest to people lives and collect mangrove seeds, seedling, and planting mangroves in TFC protected area while maintaining the planted mangroves.

Logement et nourriture

Volunteer will stay together in share bungalows at community center that CYA rents. Volunteers will cook your own food by daily shift.

There are plenty of tourist attraction sites such as Teuk Chhou, Bokor national park, Rabit island, and more.. that you can explore during your free day. Trapaing Sangke Fishing Community (TFC) is a community based organization aims at preserve and protect mangrove forest to maintain ecology system and increase lives in the sea such as crap, fish, shrimp, etc. so that fishermen can stay and earn income in their community without migrate to other countries. CYA have been working with TFC since 2012 to support their initiative and through our cooperation in 2014, TFC became a popular eco - tourism site receiving hundreds of tourists every weeks. TFC is a successful project because of the strong support of our volunteers and as usual volunteers are still in needs to work hand in hand with local people in supporting its growth and to make sure local people will keep TFC cleans and more mangroves are plants and nursing.

Volunteers will working on organizing different workshop, training, and activities to support students learning and development. Volunteers will also teaching english to students and join construction activities to renovate GEC classroom, beautify the campus, and build building for GEC office, library, and computer room.

At the same time, children and teenagers enroll in GEC get free access to learn languages, computer, and to have access to global education/information through internet and our library. The center is located in Svay Thom Village, Prasat Bakong district, Siem Reap province. We welcome all motivated volunteers to join us in making change in this community and learn great thing from this community as well.

24 September School (24SS) is located in a very remote area in Kampong Speu province. Many teenagers grow up becoming construction worker or factory workers due the lack of education. Education is not a priority and not easy to access by all while poverty is struggling people for survival. CYA started our cooperation in 2014 and have been working on providing English languages class for students and supporting to renovate classrooms. It is very rare to have foreigners in this village so the presence of volunteers make the students and local people happy to have interaction while students are able to learn language for free.

Chea Smon School (CSS) is located 30 km away from Siem Reap town and not far from to Tonle Sap lake. Many children dropped off school every year for helping their parents or to work at tourist spot, Kampong Pluk. In CYA, we believe that only with education, children and teenagers grow up become a better person therefore, we are working with Chea Smon school in promoting education and make their first priority. Beside, hygiene and sanitation is also an issue for local children as well. Many children got scabies every year due their hygiene and sanitation problems.

volunteers will help to assist in organizing events, preparing stages, taking care of the booth during exhibition, have the place of event organized, selling the event tickets and more...

Logement et nourriture

3 meals (breakfast, lunch, & dinner) per day will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers will have lunch at the event site therefore, lunch box will be served. Breakfast and dinner will be in Cambodian dishes and various from time to time. Volunteers will stay at Prasat Rath guesthouse. Volunteers will stay in the share rooms where there are pillow, blanket, and bathroom inside each room.

CYA is a non - profit and non - governmental organization which has not received funding from funding agencies or government therefore, to be enable to operate, volunteers are asking to pay participation fee of US$ 220.00. The participation fee is payable upon arrival (first day of the camp). The participation fee is covered: food & accommodation, local transportation during the project, and other materials cost.

CYA has an honor to be part of a great event “Arts for Peace” festival which will hosted by Cambodian Living Arts (CLA). This event marks the dual occasion of the 20th anniversary of CLA and the 40th anniversary of the end of Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Cambodian Youth Action (CYA) is happy to call for volunteers those who are interested in amazing learning about culture and arts of Cambodia. The festival will bring local and international attention to the impact of arts in Cambodia over the last 40 years, by celebrating work by 3 generations of artists and organizations to preserve, revive, and develop arts in Cambodia. A public program of exhibitions, talks and screenings will give people the opportunity to engage with the work of the many artists and organizations involved in the Cambodian cultural sector. A performing arts program will draw from CLA’s work past and present, from revivals of early commissions in traditional forms, to new writing for theatre and innovative contemporary dance.

Volunteers will involve in different activities which is supervised supervise by project manager. The tasks are; - community challenging and mapping : This activity will prepare volunteers for better understanding and getting to know about community - teaching English, computer to students of GEC, and organizing reading activity for students - participating in construction and gardening activities proposed by project manager.

Logement et nourriture

Volunteer will stay in a share room in the volunteer’s house located in Svay Thom market. three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) per day will be provided. Volunteers are asking to help washing dishes and clean your public area where you are using it. Please note that the volunteer’s house is offering special price and discount for volunteer’s food and accommodation plus the land for building GEC center for free.

TFC is now attracting thousands of tourists to visit every year so that beside earning from fishing local people are now also providing service for tourists to generate more income. CYA’s volunteers have been nursing and planting more 50,000 mangroves every year. Join us to make a different!

In this project, Volunteer will gain great experience by participating with int’l and national volunteers from various background. Volunteers will involve in various activities such as teaching English & computer, organizing library activities, participating in vegetable planting, making natural soap, and joining activities with local people.

Logement et nourriture

Volunteers will stay in the share house and when necessary women and men are mixed in the room. There are two separate rooms in the house and the public toilets and shower are located outside the house. 3 meals per day will be provided by the host family but volunteers are asking to wash dishes, and clean your public space in daily shift.

CYA - Learning Center (CLC) established in 2014 by CYA to provide alternative education which help to complement the the missing part in public school such as English language and computer class. 328 students enrolled for the English and computer classes. A library has been opening for students to have extra activities beside classroom. CLC hosts more then 150 int’l volunteers and engage about 50 nationals every year. Since 2016, CLC started to expand its programs on sustainable development to support student’s families by producing local natural products and sustainable agriculture products.
