Work

If Edith Piaf sang the famous "vie en rose", in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val it changes color to become greener, thanks to your work! Under the watchful eye of a technical supervisor, you will plant a public square in the heart of the village.
This small village will then be able to enjoy greener, more pleasant spaces for strolling. A real landscaping job awaits you to redevelop these spaces!
And that's without counting on the dynamism of the local teenagers, who will be on hand on certain mornings to help you with the project. Tempted by the experience? Come and enjoy two weeks of work in this charming village.

Accomodation and food

You will be lodged in a dormitory in a community hall in the immediate vicinity of the work site. Mattresses will be provided, so all you need to bring is your sleeping bag. A shower and toilet are on site, and a kitchen and living area will be available nearby. There will be no washing machine available.
Every day, a team of volunteers will cook meals for the whole group, according to menus chosen collectively by you. Particular attention will be paid to seasonal and local produce. Special dietary requirements can be discussed with the group leaders.

Location and leisure

Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, 40km east of Montauban and 90km north of Toulouse.
At the edge of the Tarn-et-Garonne region, you'll enjoy a wide range of leisure activities. Visit medieval villages, go hiking, etc. For some activities, you'll even get to meet the locals and share the experience with them! In the evenings and at weekends, let your imagination run wild and organize evening parties with games, a folk ball and live music. Finally, what better way to share your country's culinary specialties with locals and visitors than by organizing a large international meal, open to all?

Project hosted by

Since 2002, the Citrus association has been organizing international workcamps in the Tarn-et- Garonne region. Every year, dozens of volunteers from all over the world take part in a public-interest work camp in the heart of a village.
This year, volunteers from all over the world will come to Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a medieval town recognized as one of France's favorite villages, to take part in a collective project of public interest and bring Solidarités Jeunesses' values of sharing, meeting and interculturality to life!

Directions to meeting point

From the airport Toulouse Blagnac shuttle buses will take you to downtown Toulouse in 30 minutes. You can then take a train to one of the stations nearest to Saint- Antonin-Noble-Val. We will collect you according to your arrival time from 10am at the meeting point at Laguepie train station.

The aim of this project is to build an ecological pond on the permaculture garden of the Maison des Bateleurs. Accomodation and food

Food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner (you have a food budget that the leaders will manage and communicate with you throughout the workcamp). Meals are prepared by you, in turn, by forming cooking teams. Take your best recipes with you!

As Solidarités Jeunesses is willing to protect the environment, you may not eat meat everyday. Of course, if you have any dietary restrictions or needs, don't forget to tell us about it so that meals can be adapted to you.

Location and leisure

Located a few hundred meters from the festival in Montendre, the house provides all necessary amenities: showers, kitchen, garden, bamboo grove, etc.

The pond work will take place in the mornings, whilst the afternoons will be dedicated to different activities around the Montendre area and to visit some of the locations of environmental or cultural interest in nearby zone. Work

Every year, the Centre de Beaumotte welcomes people from all walks of life. It's a place for learning and experimentation, where everyone is invited to leave their mark. During this work camp, we're offering you the chance to learn carpentry techniques, because we've got lots of projects in the pipeline to improve our home! From building shutters and furniture to solar-powered shower cubicles, we have no shortage of ambitions to take our sustainable practices to the next level.

Accomodation and food

You will be accommodated within our association, in a two-storey shared room. You will sleep in gender-mixed bunk beds. The centre is equipped with a washing machine, but it will be easier if you bring as many things as possible with you. The wifi will not be unlimited: it will be turned on at certain times during free time. That's what group living is all about: not being on your mobile phone all day!

You'll take it in turns to cook in our professional kitchen. There will always be a group leader to help you. Your group will play an active role in community life. There will be teams for cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc. Food will be provided by the association. Our food is organic and/or local! You will eat meat 2 times a week. Solidarités Jeunesses wants to reduce meat consumption on its workcamps.

It is important to note that Beaumotte has been running a social project for 45 years: we welcome minors under the protection of the State and people on their way to integration. Alcohol is not permitted at the Centre.

Location and leisure

Association du Centre de Beaumotte, Le Saussoir, 70190 Beaumotte-Aubertans. Located in Haute-Saône, 30 minutes from Besançon.

Afternoons and weekends will be devoted to leisure activities. You will organise these with the activity leaders and will be asked to suggest activities. Some activities are essential: visiting Besançon, walking or cycling in the surrounding area, fun and intercultural activities, etc.

Project hosted by

If you want to live a collective experience, learn to cooperate and discover other ways of living or seeing things, we're waiting for you at the Centre de Beaumotte, a popular education association. In the middle of the countryside, you will share daily life with young people from Europe and from different social backgrounds. Here, we want to make the most of our differences!

Directions to meeting point

We expect you at the Centre late afternoon on the first day, between 4pm and 7pm.
A meeting point will be set up at Besançon TGV station (25870) to facilitate the arrival of people coming by train, at around 6pm. On the last day, departures from the TGV station will be at around 10.30am.

If you are arriving by plane, the most convenient airports are Basel, Orly and Charles de Gaulle. You will then have to make your own way to Besançon TGV station.

A route map will be sent to you after you register, for more information.
