Planning, preparing and performing interactive language classes for children in order to improve their conversation skills. The camp for Belarusian high school pupils aged 12i18 and pupils of the same age from abroad (neighboring countries - Ukraine, Russia) takes place every year in the ancient town of Uzda. Foreign volunteers work independently (with the help of Belarusian teachers and volunteers) to plan, prepare and perform non-formal interactive language classes for children in order to improve their conversational skills. You will work max 5 hours per day in the morning and before the lunch. But in the afternoon and in the evening you are welcome to enjoy the activities held by the Belarusian volunteers (debates, movies, sports, table games, outdoor games, music, dancing, crafts, fine arts, etc). Unterkunft und Verpflegung
The participants will live in the dormitory of the local restoration school (3-4 people in one room). 4 meals a day, participants will be on duty to help the local kitchen lady with cooking. We cannot provide a vegetarian or vegan menu.
Lage und Freizeit
The workcamp is situated in Uzda, Minsk region, Belarus (65 km from Minsk). The town is known since the 15th century and has several tourist attractions. The infrastructure is well-developed, so you will find everything necessary here: banks and currency exchange offices, shops, bars and cafes, pharmacy, local market, post-office etc. During your leisure time you are welcome to participate in all outdoor or indoor activities with kids. You will be able to go to the capital Minsk and enjoy its wide range of free-time opportunities. Please be aware that the place is a bit far away from the city and it will not be possible to go to the city every day (For individual trips you have to pay yourself).

League of Youth Voluntary Service (LYVS) is a non-profit, non-governmental public organisation, based in Minsk, Belarus. LYVS was founded on February 16, 1994 and joined the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations in 1996. We are working to increase the access of young people to the information about the participation opportunities in the field of non-formal education and volunteering, to develop their civil and social competencies. Our central objective is to assist young people in the implementation of their ideas on the basis of voluntary service. The volunteers are expected to speak English well (at least B1 level is required) and have a desire to work with teenagers. We welcome those who is willing to learn and share cultural experience, active, creative, tolerant, easy-going and positive Motivation letter is required.
