Arbejde

Learn 6 methods/techniques to control invasive species (Strike/Herbicide injection, pulling, peeling, mowing, mowing application of herbicides and natural control);Apply the most appropriate control techniques to the 5 species selected in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres;Prepare publicity/awareness-raising materials about the advantages/importance of controlling and managing invasive species with a view to environmental sustainability;Raise awareness among the population of the importance of environmental sustainability;Remove rubbish improperly deposited in intervention spaces.

ACCOMODATION: The participants will stay at Hostel EntryFik.The participants will sleep in dormitories divided per gender. In the Hostel, we will have a team that clean the accommodation and cook the meals.MEALS: Meals will be served at the hostel. All special food requirements will be respected if theres prior information sent to the participants. We will have 5 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and supper).INTERNET: The hostel provides free Wi-Fi.

It is a rural portuguese parish in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres, in the province of Beira Alta, in the Center region and sub-region of Serra da Estrela, with an area of 8.06 kmI and 229 inhabitants.The address is: Rua do Vale da Vinha, 1, 6370-341 Maceira - Fornos de Algodres

Control and management of invasive species aims to promote environmental education and reflect/raise awareness about the importance of preserving the environment, the impact of invasive species on ecosystems, the importance of controlling and managing invasive species and sustainable growth, through initiative to control and manage 5 invasive species in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres.As for leisure activities, we will have visits (to the museum, library, river beach, social solidarity institutions), intercultural evenings, sports activities, traditional games, parties, swimming pool, cultural activities, ect.
