BAKAP is a project aimed at helping Ankara's producers, who are forced to produce their crops at high costs and sell them at low prices, to break free from this cycle and get back on their feet through rural development projects that revitalize the city's economy. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality contributes to the economy by distributing various agricultural products grown at the 3,500-decare BAKAP Agricultural Campus free of charge to local producers and small family businesses. Volunteers in this project will assist with environmental and rural development work. They will also participate in training and cultural exchange activities at municipal youth centers.

Logement et nourriture

Volunteers will stay in 2-3 person rooms at a youth dormitory belonging to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Meals will also be served there. On some days, they may stay in tents in a rural development area.

Situation, loisirs

Ankara is the capital and political center of Türkiye. Although not a major tourist destination, it is home to many noteworthy museums and historical and cultural sites. Being in the city center offers opportunities to participate in city tours. Ankara is also where our GSM office is located. Social activities with our young volunteers and other partners in the city can also be expected.

Main tasks include:
-Supporting the organization of the Lavender Festival hosted by foundation
-Lavender harvesting
-Gardening and agricultural work
-Organizing books in the foundation’s library according to a cataloguing system
-Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation and daily tasks
-Painting and improving common areas when needed

Logement et nourriture

Three meals a day will be provided by the local host, but volunteers will help with preparing and serving the meals. Meals will be provided only as vegan and vegetarian options and meat products will not be available during the camp.

Situation, loisirs

The camp will take place in Akmeşe, a peaceful rural area of Kocaeli, surrounded by nature yet relatively close to major cities.
There will be two days off per week; however, the exact schedule will be decided together depending on the workflow and festival preparation. During free time, volunteers may:
-Explore nearby towns and the city center of İzmit
-Go for nature walks in the surrounding area
-Spend time in the garden
-Use the swimming pool during summer months
-Organize group activities and intercultural evenings
The camp offers a balanced experience of physical work, ecological learning, community life, and time in nature.

Founded in 2021, the Foundation creates spaces for learning, co-creation, and meaningful encounters, bringing together individuals and institutions who care about sustainability and a just life together.
At the heart of the Foundation are Armaş Academy and the Armaş Foundation Venue, a 20-acre ecological space surrounded by lavender fields, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and open landscapes. The venue hosts workshops, gatherings, and projects focused on environmental awareness, ethical reflection, and collective learning.
By joining this camp, volunteers will contribute not only to practical tasks but also to a living space that values sustainability, mindful togetherness, and ecological responsibility.

Lavender harvesting may require working at different hours of the day to avoid strong sun exposure. Volunteers should be prepared for outdoor physical work under summer conditions.
Work will take place 6 days per week (Tuesday–Sunday), with Monday as the only full free day. Volunteers will support activities for up to 6 hours per day between 10:00 and 18:00 (excluding meal times). Vegetarian food can be available but please inform us after acceptance. On Mondays (free day), breakfast will be provided at the center. Situation, loisirs

The camp takes place in Cappadocia, one of the most unique landscapes in Türkiye, famous for its rock formations, valleys, and cultural heritage. The natural environment offers opportunities for hiking, exploring valleys, and experiencing local culture.
Although the working week is intensive, volunteers can explore the region on Mondays or during evenings. Popular activities in the area include:
-Visiting nearby valleys and viewpoints
-Exploring local towns and traditional architecture
-Joining sunrise walks
-Discovering the cultural and historical richness of the region

The center combines special education practices with nature-based activities such as gardening, lavender cultivation, and animal care. Volunteers become part of this daily life, contributing to both the social and practical aspects of the center.
This camp was successfully organized in 2024 and continues to build on that experience.

In this project, volunteers will paint and organize the village's theater building and library together with local volunteers. They will also repair the parts of the village that need repair. Bademler Village is close to Azmak Bay. A traditional local festival is organizing by the villagers every year. Water games, concerts, group activities are held in the festival. Volunteers will help organize this festival. Stage setup, creation of appropriate areas for group activities, environmental decorations, transportation and other preparations require the support of volunteers. In case of additional needs of the village, support can be requested from volunteers. Every contribution is matters in this small village. We have been organizing this traditional workcamp in Bademler Village for more than 25 years.

-Lead energizers, team-building games, and reflection sessions
-Assist with logistics and daily program coordination

The program is highly interactive and workshop-based. Although there is no manual labor, the schedule is intensive. The camp lasts one week (24–31 August), and activities run every day with a full and structured program. Volunteers should be prepared for long and active days. This camp is suitable for motivated individuals who enjoy working with young people, facilitating activities, and being part of a dynamic team environment.

The cooperative was established by local women who aim to preserve regional food traditions while creating economic opportunities within the village. By producing and selling traditional products such as tomato paste, dried fruits, pestil, bread, and other local specialties, they generate income that is reinvested into improving village life.
Despite many challenges, this dedicated group of women continues working to beautify and strengthen their village. The products they prepare are sold at New Year markets and through online platforms, and the income supports local development efforts.
Through this camp, volunteers will directly support this inspiring grassroots initiative and become part of a meaningful rural solidarity experience.
