Work

Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist local residents and staff of Kenozero National Park in preserving the cultural landscapes. Volunteers will take part in clearing shrubs and restoring the shoreline of Lake Kenozero. Volunteers should be ready for a lot of physical work outdoors.

Accomodation and food

Volunteers will stay in a tourist lodge equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay kitchen facilities, furniture, dishes, bed linens, towels, and more. Restroom facilities are simple, eco-friendly outdoor toilets, and traditional Russian banyas (steam baths, sauna).Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners will be provided at the local cafe.

Location and leisure

Work will take place in various villages around the Kenozero Lake area. Please note that mobile phone reception in the work areas can be weak. The base camp is located in the village of Gory.During their time in Kenozero, volunteers will also get to explore museums, chapels, and ecological trails, participate in workshops on traditional crafts and trades, and enjoy a scenic boat tour on the waters of the lake.

Requirements

What to bring?Make sure to pack a backpack, warm and water-proof clothing and footwear (including work clothes and rubber boots), a swimsuit, personal hygiene items, mosquito repellent, a sitting mat, a flashlight, and your own mug, plate, and spoon.Important requirements:1) A tick-borne encephalitis vaccination is mandatory. If you do not have one, you take full personal responsibility for your health.2) Accident insurance covering the entire project period is also required. Volunteers without insurance assume personal responsibility.Travel and transfer:Volunteers cover their own travel expenses to and from Plesetskaya railway station. The Park will arrange transportation from the station to the camp.

Work

Volunteers are invited to Kenozero National Park to help with repair work on the eco-farm and to prepare bundles of branches (forage) for the goats. Volunteers will take part in challenging yet meaningful tasks, where their efforts will directly benefit the animals.During their stay volunteers will also have the chance to visit museums, explore ecological trails and routes, and participate in workshops on traditional crafts and trades.

Accomodation: a cozy tourist lodge with basic comforts. Nature: Endless forests, fresh air, and breathtaking night skies.Meals are NOT provided by the camp, you ll need to buy your own food supplies

Location and leisure

Orlovo village, Kargopol sector of Kenozersky National Park. Volunteers cover their own travel expenses to and from Nyandoma railway station. The Park will arrange transportation from the station to the camp.Leisure: Walk scenic trails, explore local culture, and try traditional crafts. Lifestyle: Simple, slow, and deeply connected to nature.

Work

Light restoration, cleaning, and caring for historic sites. This project invites you to help restore historic wooden chapelsbeautiful small churches that have been part of local life for centuries. These unique structures need constant care: you ll clear moss from roofs, repair wooden steps, and help maintain the surrounding area. It s hands-on work, but incredibly rewarding

Accomodation and food

Volunteers will stay in a tourist lodge equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay kitchen facilities, furniture, dishes, bed linens, towels, and more. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners will be provided at the local cafe. During work activities, volunteers will be accompanied by Park staff who are trained to provide first aid if needed. A first aid kit with essential medications will also be available to volunteers. In the village of Morshchikhinskaya, there is a medical outpost staffed by a healthcare professional.
