Volunteers will support activities around the Umoja-Enosi field, which hosts football teams for youth with immigrant backgrounds. Over two weeks, their tasks will focus on promoting inclusion in the community through football and other interactive initiatives. Volunteers will be divided into two groups, with flexible roles. The first group will focus on storytelling, gathering narratives from the youngsters and others connected to the field. This material will be used to create a video, with the help of a videographer, to disseminate the story of the field and strengthen its connection to the community. The second group will focus on organizing activities. During the first week, they will lead sports and creative programs to encourage interaction beyond football. In the second week, the group will organize a peace tournament, involving local children to demonstrate football s ability to convey values like cooperation and harmony. Throughout the project, both teams will accompany the youngsters on excursions, including museum visits and a trip to a large football stadium, fostering cultural and educational experiences. The project will conclude with a public event featuring the video presentation, tournament awards, and additional activities reflecting the volunteers interests.Volunteers will also participate in arrival training, study sessions about immigration and the neighborhood, and evaluations to discuss the progress and impact of their work. Working hours will be six per day, five days a week, varying between afternoon and morning shifts across the project timeline.
