Join us for an adventure dedicated to making a mountain refuge accessible to all !

In the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, between the majestic mountains of Isère and Drôme, lies the village of Le Percy. In this preserved natural setting, we invite you to take part in an exceptional project combining craftsmanship and collective engagement.

This ambitious project aims to improve the infrastructure of the communal refuge in Esparron, a welcoming place for hikers and mountain lovers. Under the guidance of « Les Abeilles Charpentières », passionate carpentry artisans, participants will build a covered access ramp for people with reduced mobility and an emergency exit, making the refuge more inclusive and safer. Depending on the progress of the work, additional improvements may be made, such as installing dry toilets for the bivouac, creating a cozy fire area, and implementing other environmentally friendly features.
Whether you are passionate about construction, nature lovers, or simply eager to participate in a collective project, this unique experience awaits you !

Logement et nourriture

The communal refuge of Esparron, located at 1,460 meters altitude in the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, will serve as your base camp throughout the project. During the first week, you will stay in individual tents (provided by Concordia) set up outside the refuge. You will have access to the refuge’s sanitary facilities and equipped kitchen. For this tent stay, be sure to bring a sleeping bag suited to cold mountain temperatures (ideally with a comfort range of around 0°C to -5°C) and a camping mat for extra comfort. During the second week, you will be housed inside the refuge, which offers several dormitory-style sleeping areas with beds.
Daily communal life will be organized around sharing responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, and group activities. You will prepare meals together, prioritising local and seasonal products and vegetarian options.

Please note that the refuge is off-grid: there is no Wi-Fi or mobile network coverage. A washing machine is unavailable, so you will need to wash your clothes by hand if necessary.

Situation, loisirs

Le Percy is a village nestled in the heart of the Trièves, offering an authentic setting surrounded by unspoilt landscapes combining mountains, forests and meadows. The region is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. There are numerous hiking trails near the village, offering breathtaking viewpoints of the Vercors and Dévoluy mountains. For water sports enthusiasts, activities such as kayaking are available on the surrounding rivers. These leisure activities will be organized according to the group's wishes and weather conditions. Time will also be set aside for discussions with local residents and visits to heritage sites, so that you can fully immerse yourself in local life and understand the conservation issues facing the region, all thanks to the site supervisors.

Partenaire

The Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors and Concordia have been working together for many years to preserve and promote the area. Every year, this partnership enables volunteers to discover an exceptional territory, with its varied landscapes marked by history. In return, your participation in the workcamps contributes directly to the park's missions, in conjunction with local communities, to preserve and enhance these natural areas.

Help restore a historic cobbled path at the entrance to the town of Bazas, in the middle of the Entre-deux-Mers vineyards!
You'll start this restoration project by clearing the weeds between the stones and then repairing the joints that have been destroyed through time. The section you'll be working on corresponds to one of the historic entrances of the town, which is surrounded by walls. The path goes under a stone gate, the Porte du Gisquet. You will be supervised by a technical guide who will teach you various traditional methods.

Logement et nourriture

You will be accommodated in individual tents provided by Concordia, with sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a communal living room, in the sports facilities of the town of Bazas. You will share the various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.). A budget will be allocated to the group leaders, and you will help with grocery-shopping and preparing meals. We want to encourage vegetarian eating with local and seasonal products, while respecting participants' diets and discovering local cuisine together. WIFI is available.

Situation, loisirs

Bazas is a commune in the South-West of France, in the Gironde department, set amidst vineyards. You'll have plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding châteaux, villages and vineyards. To the north-west, around 1h30 drive away, you'll find the city of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The capital of the Bazadais region and a former bishopric, it has preserved a wealth of monuments, some of which date back to the Middle Ages and are symbolized by the Saint-Jean-Baptiste cathedral.
During the summer season, the town of Bazas organizes numerous events and village festivals, which you'll have the chance to take part in. With its market, cathedral, cafés, craftsmen and narrow streets, Bazas is a lively village! There are many natural sites in the area, including spots for kayaking and canoeing.

Partenaire

The commune of Bazas wants to restore this pathway that enters the town. It is a popular route into the town for local residents, but it is now difficult for people with reduced mobility to use. It is also part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route, used by tourists who come to explore the city and its famous cathedral.

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

The meeting point is Bordeaux SNCF station on 02/07 in the late afternoon.
The exact time of the meeting will be communicated with the route map, which will be sent out no later than 4 weeks before the start of the project.

Several direct trains (approximately one per hour) leave Paris for Bordeaux. The journey takes between 2 and 3 hours.

Train reservations can be made approximately 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below: https://www.sncf-connect.com/

Closest airports:

Participate in the creation of a shared garden for the children of the daycare, families and residents of the neighborhood!
You will be working at La Visitation site, an old convent that now houses apartments and several activities, including the parent-run daycare "Les Petits Loups" (translation: little wolves). The project involves transforming an outdoor plot into a shared garden accessible to all users, which will serve as a space for meetings, discovery, and exchange for both children and adults.
The tasks to be completed during the workcamp include: clearing and cleaning the garden, maintaining the hedges, building barriers to ensure the safety of the youngest, creating garden beds, and setting up a notice board to promote the garden and its activities.

Calling all aspiring handy-people and gardeners! Come with your energy and your good mood to create a pleasant space and learn how to use manual and power tools alongside a technical facilitator.

Logement et nourriture

You will be accompanied by two camp leaders throughout your stay.
The accommodation is located at the campsite “Le Chanset” in Ceyrat, in the midst of Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, close to the Chaîne des Puys. Concordia provides individual tents for sleeping and a collective tent for socializing.
The group will be sharing the different tasks of collective life together. The budget will be allocated to the group leaders and you will participate in the preparation of meals, run errands from the market and local producers. Free WIFI at the campsite. Laundry will be hand-washed or in a washing machine from the campsite (for a fee).

In the heart of Grenoble, take part in an ambitious urban transformation project that serves both residents and the ecological transition. In a neighborhood undergoing change, you will help enhance the 120 Arlequin by redesigning its indoor and outdoor spaces: painting facades, creating green areas, and installing wooden structures to promote conviviality and well-being for the residents. In collaboration with city services and a committed social housing provider, you will support social housing tenants in improving their living environment and strengthening their sense of belonging to the neighborhood. Alongside local stakeholders, you will also participate in organizing workshops and engaging with residents, fostering intercultural exchanges and social cohesion. It’s a technical and collective project where everyone contributes to building a more inclusive and sustainable city!

Logement et nourriture

You will be accommodated in simply furnished apartments, sharing rooms (2-3 people per room). Please remember to bring a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat. Each apartment will have bathrooms and showers, as well as a communal space for socializing. Please note that no Wi-Fi connection will be available in the accommodation, but since you will be in an urban setting, you can find a connection nearby. You will also have access to a nearby laundromat for your laundry needs. Collective life will be organized together: cleaning, activities, and meal preparation will be done collaboratively and in turns. As much as possible, we will favor a vegetarian diet based on local and seasonal products. Special attention will be given to accommodating all dietary needs and introducing local cuisine to ensure a rewarding experience for all participants.

Situation, loisirs

Located in the heart of the Alps, Grenoble is the largest alpine metropolis and the third most populous city in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, with 680,000 inhabitants in its metropolitan area. Surrounded by three iconic mountain ranges—Vercors, Chartreuse, and Belledonne—it offers an exceptional natural setting, ideal for outdoor activities and cultural discoveries. The project takes place in a neighborhood undergoing transformation, reflecting the city's commitment to ecological and social transition. Its local integration is reinforced by collaborations with territorial actors, enabling concrete actions to improve residents' living environments. Beyond the construction work, you will have the opportunity to explore Grenoble’s cultural and historical richness. The city offers numerous cultural facilities (museums, theaters, concert halls) and a vibrant summer program. Don't miss the Cabaret Frappé Festival, which will take place from July 14 to 24, featuring a diverse lineup of contemporary music, theater, and performances. Nature lovers can easily access the surrounding mountains for activities such as hiking, kayaking, and climbing. Thanks to public transportation (train, bus), you can reach preserved natural areas within minutes and enjoy outdoor relaxation. Specific times will be arranged for group outings, allowing you to fully experience the natural beauty of Grenoble.

Partenaire

This project is part of the European Solidarity Corps program (ESC) and is built on a strong partnership between Concordia and various local stakeholders. You will learn about social housing issues through Actis, which will provide accommodation and define interventions on its housing stock to improve residents' living conditions. This project will also involve the local association Pali Pali, which supports projects that promote cultural, social, and ecological transitions. Thanks to its expertise, you will be introduced to innovative and responsible practices. In parallel with the construction work, interactive activities will be organized to help you better understand local challenges and engage with residents. Participatory workshops, social gatherings, and cultural events will enhance your experience, increasing the project's impact on the community and the territory.

Commentaires additionnels

Grenoble, a leader among bike-friendly cities in France, has implemented an ambitious soft mobility policy. Its extensive network of cycling paths and relatively flat topography make it easy to use bicycles for urban travel. Many cycling routes will be available for your daily commutes and excursions, so it is essential to know how to ride a bike to participate in this project. For outdoor activities and construction work, please bring work gloves, durable clothing, and sturdy shoes that can withstand dirt. Since the weather can be variable, it is important to pack appropriate clothing, such as a fleece, a rain jacket, and comfortable clothes for rain or cool evenings. Regarding accommodation, an inflatable mattress will be provided, but for extra comfort, consider bringing a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag with a comfort temperature of at least 10°C, as nights can be chilly. Don’t forget to bring sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, and a swimsuit for visits to pools and water recreation areas. Social activities will be planned with our facilitators according to your interests. If you would like to share a part of your culture, feel free to bring an object, a culinary specialty, photos, a musical instrument, a traditional game, or even a small Bluetooth speaker to animate group moments and foster intercultural exchanges.

Immerse yourself in history by participating in the restoration of Château Saint-Gérald! Located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, this remarkable site overlooks the Rhône Valley and is the focus of an ambitious project to make it accessible and attractive.
Built in the 13th century and destroyed in 1591 during the Wars of Religion, the château was rediscovered in 1974. Today, a local initiative aims to rehabilitate it and integrate it into a broader project to enhance the region.
This participatory worksite will help develop welcoming spaces for the public. Participants will receive guidance in learning restoration techniques.
The project will adapt to different levels of experience, combining technical work with discussions on the history and conservation of the site.

Logement et nourriture

You will be accommodated in an apartment in the heart of Givors, not far from the worksite. The accommodation consists of shared rooms with three to four single beds. It includes sanitary facilities, some accessible directly from the rooms and others located on the floor. A common room will be available for shared meals and social moments.
Please bring a sleeping bag suitable for a comfort temperature of about ten degrees Celsius. WiFi will be available nearby. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine.
Meals will be prepared collectively in a fully equipped kitchen. Participants will take turns preparing meals, cleaning, and handling other communal tasks. The diet will be primarily vegetarian, using local, seasonal, and short-supply-chain products while respecting individual dietary needs.

Situation, loisirs

Givors, with a population of 20,000, is located in the Lyon metropolitan area, about 20 kilometers from Lyon, easily accessible by public transport.
During your stay, leisure activities will be organized: hiking, cycling, and river swimming will allow participants to explore the area’s natural beauty. With support from the local partner, bicycles will be available to facilitate travel and promote eco-friendly exploration. Cultural visits may also be arranged to explore local heritage and emblematic sites.

Partenaire

You will take part in the third collaboration between the city of Givors and Concordia, a partnership launched in 2022 to restore and promote Château Saint-Gérald. This worksite is a key step in a shared commitment to preserving local heritage through several upcoming projects.
This initiative relies on close collaboration between the city of Givors, its Cultural Affairs department, and a specialized architect working specifically on the site’s restoration. You will also help strengthen ties with local residents, particularly younger generations, through the involvement of local associations. This year, the association "Les Amis de la Colline," currently being established, will follow the project and play a role in its local development.

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

Meet at 6:00 PM at Givors Ville train station. The station is easily accessible by trains from Lyon’s Part-Dieu or Perrache stations in just 20 minutes. These trains run frequently.

Reservations can be made now on the SNCF website via the following link: https://www.sncf-connect.com/. This is a TER train, so tickets are valid for any train throughout the day.

Lyon Saint-Exupery is the closest airport. From Paris CDG, you can easily reach Lyon Part-Dieu or Perrache trains stations.

Commentaires additionnels

Make sure to bring sturdy, closed-toe work clothes that can get dirty. You will sleep in individual beds, so don’t forget to pack a sleeping bag with a comfort temperature of 10°C, a fitted sheet, and a pillowcase. For outings, waterproof clothing is recommended. Remember to bring sun protection, including a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as well as a water bottle and a swimsuit for swimming in pools or water sports centers. If you would like to share a part of your culture, feel free to bring items representative of your country or region, such as photos, culinary specialties, music instruments, your favorite playlist, or games to play with other volunteers.

Remarques

Foreigners that are part of the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If there are health issues on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will be reimbursed once back in their home country.”

Looking for an adventure in the heart of the Alps? Join a committed project in Valloire! This summer, experience something unique and participate in an international volunteer camp in one of the most beautiful locations in Savoie. In collaboration with Concordia and the municipality of Valloire, engage in a project that promotes solidarity, environment, and local heritage.
Contribute to the improvement of the environment by working on projects that benefit both residents and tourists. This camp is part of a broader ecological transition and sustainable development initiative led by the municipality and its partners. Supervised by professionals, you will learn eco-friendly development techniques and use materials suited to the site’s conditions.

This is also an opportunity to share moments with a team from around the world in an exceptional natural setting. No specific skills are required - only motivation and a willingness to contribute to a meaningful project. Ready to take on the challenge?

Logement et nourriture

You will stay in individual tents at a campsite in Valloire, with access to restrooms and showers. The tents will be provided by Concordia. The municipality will provide a section of the community hall, located less than 200 meters from the campsite, where we will set up a kitchen and communal area for group activities and shelter in case of bad weather.
Participants will take turns organizing communal life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and preparing meals using locally sourced products when possible. We will promote a vegetarian diet with local, seasonal foods, while respecting dietary preferences and introducing regional cuisine (mainly vegetarian meals). Free Wi-Fi is available in certain areas of the resort and at the campsite. The campsite also has a washing machine.

Situation, loisirs

Located in the Savoie department, Valloire is made up of 17 hamlets in the Maurienne massif, near the Italian border. The village sits at an altitude of 1,400 meters, ideal for mountain lovers. For hikers, marked trails await, including one to Lac des Cerces, offering breathtaking views. Nearby lakes provide swimming areas to cool off during hot summer days.
History buffs can explore landmarks such as the Fort du Télégraphe, a military structure, or the Baroque-style Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Church, a historical monument.
On the culinary side, don’t miss Savoyard cheeses, a staple of the region. The resort also offers sports and cultural facilities, including a swimming pool, cinema, media library, and local shops.

Partenaire

Since 2022, Valloire has partnered with Concordia to organize international volunteer camps, based on shared values: solidarity, civic engagement, and heritage preservation. After the success of the first three editions, we are excited to invite you to join this fourth camp, designed as a shared learning experience.
Beyond physical work, you will engage in discussions about the future of mountain resorts in the face of climate change. Valloire is exploring its future development, and along with Concordia, you will contribute to conversations on ecological transition and mountain tourism.

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

Participants should plan to arrive in central Valloire in the late afternoon, between 5 PM and 6 PM. More information will be provided based on summer timetables. Valloire is accessible by a shuttle service from Saint-Michel-Valloire train station, located 17 km away. It is recommended to book the shuttle in advance. Trains to Saint-Michel-Valloire are available from major cities such as Lyon Part-Dieu, Chambéry-Challes Les Eaux, and Modane.

For those traveling by car, Valloire is one of the rare mountain resorts with two access routes in summer: via the Col du Télégraphe (Maurienne Valley) and the Col du Galibier (Briançonnais).
Train reservations can be made approximately four months in advance through the SNCF website: https://www.sncf-connect.com.

The nearest airports are Lyon-Saint Exupéry and Chambéry. Trains connect Lyon-Saint Exupéry TGV station to Saint-Michel-Valloire in about 3.5h (with two connections). Chambéry to Saint-Michel-Valloire takes about 1h with no transfers. You can check the itineraries on : thetrain.com

Commentaires additionnels

For work sessions, bring sturdy, protective clothing that can withstand dirt and wear. Mountain weather can be unpredictable, so pack appropriate clothing: warm fleece or sweater, hiking shorts/pants, windbreaker, down jacket, and warm socks. Sturdy, ankle-high hiking boots are mandatory. Bring sun protection, including a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Bring a warm sleeping bag (comfort temperature 5-10°C) and a pillowcase (you can stuff it with clothes). A small backpack for daily activities is also recommended, along with comfortable sneakers and flip-flops for relaxation. Other essentials include a phone charger, water bottle, first-aid kit, and a flashlight. Hiking poles are optional but helpful.
Social activities will be organized based on the group’s interests. Feel free to bring a cultural item (recipe, story, music, etc.) to share with others. A small Bluetooth speaker can be useful for group activities.

Remarques

Remember to submit your Medical Factsheet and Parental Authorization at least one month before the start of the camp.

Foreigners that are part of the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If there are health issues on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will be reimbursed once back in their home country.”

Come and take part in the project to preserve and maintain the Basque coastline! The programme includes guided tours accompanied by specialists from the Conservatoire des espaces naturels to discover the local fauna and flora, as well as the heritage and various tasks: cleaning creeks, combating invasive species and promoting heritage. You'll have the chance to work on different sites in the middle of nature!

Logement et nourriture

You will be accommodated in individual tents, with sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a communal living room. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.
Together, you'll help organise community life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take turns preparing meals using locally sourced produce. Our aim is to encourage vegetarian eating using local, seasonal produce, while respecting participants' diets and discovering local cuisine together.

Situation, loisirs

The commune of Hendaye, on the Atlantic coast and the Spanish border, is rich in heritage and magnificent landscapes. This site, right in the middle of nature, will be an opportunity to discover this village, its inhabitants, its gastronomic specialities and the nearby footpaths. The various worksites are in the middle of nature. Outside the worksite, you can discover the Basque heritage, its villages, its cultural and gastronomic traditions and its magnificent landscapes between the ocean and the mountains!

Partenaire

The project is being carried out in partnership with the Léo Lagrange association in Bayonne, which will be responsible for on-site logistics and the organization of activities. Léo Lagrange is an association that promotes education and sports for tolerance and democracy, against racism, xenophobia and extremism, and for access to rights and equal rights. It offers sporting and cultural activities throughout the year in the region.

The Corniche Basque is a magnificent natural environment, between the ocean and the mountains, rich in natural species and historical heritage. These areas are subject to various pressures, such as invasive alien species, pastoralism, tourism, etc. The various sites you will be working on are protected natural areas managed by the Conservatoire des espaces naturels. A whole host of actions are necessary throughout the year to preserve these fragile environments, so you'll be taking part in this work and supporting the teams on site. Numerous awareness-raising missions are also carried out throughout the year with schoolchildren and local residents to raise awareness of the remarkable animal and plant species. The workcamp will not only be an opportunity to help preserve these unique places, but also to discover all their secrets thanks to the many specialists who will be on hand to show you around the site.

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

The meeting point is at HENDAYE SNCF station on 07/07 in the late afternoon.

The exact meeting time will be communicated with the route map, sent out no later than 4 weeks before the start of the project.

There are several direct trains from Paris Gare Montparnasse. The journey takes approximately 5 hours.

Train reservations can be made approximately 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below: https://www.sncf-connect.com/

If possible, please consider using low-carbon transportation (train and bus rather than airplane) for a sustainable international workcamp.

Commentaires additionnels

Don't forget to bring work clothes and shoes that won't get dirty.
In the mountains, despite the sunshine, the weather is surprising and can change rapidly.
For leisure activities, you'll need to pack clothes suited to the climate (warm fleece or jumper, shorts and hiking trousers, windbreaker, down jacket, warm socks, etc.). For hiking, high-top, notched shoes are recommended. Don't forget sun protection (a hat or cap is essential, sunglasses with a high protection factor because of the intense reflection, sun cream with a high protection factor IP 30-50, etc.) and a swimming costume for swimming or white-water activities.
For accommodation, remember to bring a warm sleeping bag and a towel. You should also bring a rucksack (in addition to your luggage), comfortable trainers and a pair of flip-flops. You'll also need to pack these essential accessories: a mobile phone charger, hiking poles (not compulsory, but recommended), a water bottle, a set of bandages and a headlamp or torch.
Social events will be organised in collaboration with our leaders and according to your wishes. In particular, we'll be organising themed evenings in each country. If you'd like to share a little of your culture (recipes, traditional stories, unusual objects, music, etc.), don't hesitate to take it with you.

Remarques

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for them, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

Help preserve the heritage of Châteaudouble, a small medieval Provencal village typical of southern France. For lovers of nature, hilltop villages and heritage!
The village hosts a number of cultural events at its open-air Théâtre de Verdure, on an esplanade overlooking the village and its listed monuments, with a magnificent unobstructed view.
As the site is vast, a number of restoration projects are planned, with the main aim of building the dry-stone wall adjoining the Châteaudouble open-air theater, and the secondary aim of constructing the steps to demarcate the passageway.

Logement et nourriture

You'll be housed in tents (provided by CONCORDIA) on the Plateau de Sainte-Anne, adjacent to the Théâtre de Verdure, with access to the former Sainte-Anne chapel, now a multi-purpose hall with toilets and an indoor kitchen and dining area. As we don't have a bathroom on site, we'll be installing solar-powered showers. Laundry will be done by hand.
You'll share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together, either in the outdoor summer kitchen or under the small covered facility. A budget will be allocated to the organizers, and you'll help with grocery-shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, vegetarian, local products.

Situation, loisirs

Overlooking the Nartuby gorges in the Haut Var, Châteaudouble has preserved its authentic medieval appearance. The village invites you to explore its narrow streets, wander between the houses and climb up to the castle ruins on the Sainte Anne plateau.
Châteaudouble offers a wide range of leisure activities, including visits and walks, swimming in the rivers and gorges, kayaking in the gorges or at sea, hiking, local sports such as pétanque, and participation in the various village festivities.
As the commune is isolated with little public transport, the vast majority of activities will take place on site. Outings to the gorges and/or the sea can also be organized.

Partenaire

Châteaudouble is a medieval village with a rich heritage of sumptuous monuments, some of which are listed. Very dynamic and committed to promoting its historical and natural heritage, the commune is also developing several projects in the village. For the seventh consecutive year, we are renewing our partnership with the commune of Châteaudouble.
Our work and your commitment will enable us to restore and enhance this magnificent site for the benefit of local residents and tourists alike!

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

The meeting point is the Gare des ARCS DRAGUIGNAN on 09/07 at 5pm. From the Gare de Lyon in Paris, there are several direct or connecting trains to Les ARCS DRAGUIGNAN station. The journey takes around 5 hours.
An “on-demand” rural bus service operates in the area, linking Draguignan and Châteaudouble; the organizers will be in touch with you in the days leading up to the site, with specific instructions on how to get to the site.
Train reservations can be made around 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below:
https://www.sncf-connect.com
Whenever possible, use low-carbon means of transport (train or bus, rather than plane) for a responsible and sustainable international worksite.

Commentaires additionnels

Remember to pack clothes and shoes for work and hiking. Nights can be chilly, so bring a warm comforter and a sleeping mat. Don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small backpack, a water bottle and mosquito repellent, as well as loose-fitting clothing for the evenings.
You can also bring recipes from your country/region, musical instruments and games.
As the village is far from the meeting point (Gare les Arcs Draguignan) and has no public transport, it's imperative to be at the meeting point on time!
The last day is for departure, usually in the morning.

Remarques

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. Help preserve Montferrat's local heritage!

Located in the north-east of the commune of Montferrat, the Pierrepont spring is a place of refreshment for many villagers during the summer. With the aim of restoring the site's hydraulic heritage, an important element in the history and life of the village, you'll be tasked with clearing and demarcating the area to be rebuilt using picks and shovels; resuming the foundations on the sections requiring it; sorting the stones and assembling a hard base; building the low wall leading to the spring.

Take part in the enhancement of this committed and culturally rich commune, while making unforgettable encounters!

Logement et nourriture

Accommodation will be in tents provided by Concordia in the outdoor area of the stadium. This will be a large field with grass and shady trees. Access to the stadium's showers, kitchen and WC is included.

You'll share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together, outdoors in a summer kitchen or under the small covered facility. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you'll help with the shopping, giving preference to healthy, local produce.

Situation, loisirs

Montferrat (commune of approx. 1700 inhabitants) is located in the Var (83) department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Just 15 km from Draguignan and 5 km from Châteaudouble, the village is nestled among wooded hills, in an unspoilt natural setting. The Pierrepont site is a fifteen-minute walk from the town center.

Your volunteer work will be punctuated by a variety of cultural and natural activities: discovering the region and its specialties, hiking, nature sports, meeting local people... and much more!

Help restore a hut at the heart of the “hunters' site” in the south of France!
The commune of Puy-Sanière would like to restore the “hunters' hut”, a structure overlooking the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, and through which many hikers pass. Once used as a base for hunters, this structure is part of the commune's rural heritage and could also become a shelter for walkers.

You'll be taking part in the restoration of the hut's enclosure during a 3-week international work camp. You'll work on cleaning up the site, deconstructing it before starting to build, and finally constructing a low wall. At the end of your work, the walls will extend over 24 linear meters, allowing the hut to become a used shelter again!

This is a high-mountain project, so you'll need to read the description carefully before signing up. You'll be asked to provide a cover letter before you can register!

Logement et nourriture

You'll be accommodated outside the hut, in a large shady area where tents (supplied by CONCORDIA) will be pitched to provide shelter from the elements. A party room is also available, with access to WCs and a covered kitchen. Telephone reception, but no WIFI.

Meals are prepared either in an outdoor kitchen or in the covered kitchen. You'll share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the animators and you will participate in the shopping and preparation of meals, giving priority to healthy, vegetarian and local products.

Situation, loisirs

Puy-Sanières is a commune in southern France, located on the southern flank of Mont Guillaume (2,552 m), at the southernmost tip of the Écrins massif. It lies in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, near the Serre-Ponçon lake.
The site of the “hunters' hut” is located a few kilometers away from the center of the village of Puy-Sanières, on land mainly devoted to pastoralism and soft tourism activities.

The site will be punctuated by leisure activities, such as discovering the region and its specialities, hiking and other sporting activities, as well as opportunities to meet the local population.

Partenaire

Together with the Parc des Ecrins, Concordia has decided to set up a project in the Puy-Sanières mountain area. This is part of an overall project by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur delegation to work in the transalpine and Franco-Italian zones. Our aim is to highlight the need to restore dry-stone huts for workcamps.

Travail

This superb project involves the creation of a mural on a wall near the rugby stadium. Supervised by real professionals (local artists' collectives), you will be able to learn the art of graffiti and mural painting!

You'll be involved in the design and production of the work. The artistic touch will serve as a reminder of the values of rugby in relation to the club, its image and its values. If you also like rugby, you can come and meet the club's players.

The town of Juvignac would also like to invite you to its various festive events.
Your help will be invaluable, particularly in organising the Bastille Day celebrations on 14 July (helping to set up tables and chairs and to welcome the public). Concerts and other events are also planned with the town's residents.

Logement et nourriture

You will be accommodated on a communal site at the school. You will sleep in individual tents (bring your own sleeping bag and duvet) and live together in one of the school's air-conditioned classrooms. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals (majoritarily vegetarian) together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.

Situation, loisirs

This workcamp is based in the commune of Juvignac, part of the Montpellier metropolitan area.
This pretty town is close to the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Montpellier, where there are plenty of leisure activities on offer during your stay.
You will also be able to discover the magnificent historic towns and villages in the surrounding area, and there are plenty of other surprises in store for you...

Partenaire

This is a second partnership with the commune of Juvignac, which is looking for a quality exchange between local young people and young internationals as part of a mission of communal interest. The town would like the young people on the work camp to meet street art artists, take part in events organised by the town and meet local residents.

Itinéraire vers le point de rendez-vous

The meeting point is at 5pm at the JUVIGNAC TRAM STOP.
Train reservations can be made approximately 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below:

Remember to take gloves, clothes and good shoes for the day's work. For sleeping, take a sleeping bag and a ground sheet. And don't forget your sunglasses, sun cream, swimming costume and beach towel! The days can be hot, but the nights can be cool. If you wish, you can also bring music or an object typical of your country/region to share your culture with the other participants. If you are under 18, don’t forget to send us your Medical Factsheet and Parental Authorization at least one month before the beginning of the workcamp.

Remarques

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for them, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
