Work

To Be Me or Not to Be? Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? This time, the spotlight is on the most important subject: you! Together, we’ll explore self-identity—Who am I? How do Idiscover myself? Through discussions, workshops, and the power of theatre, we’ll embark on a journey of self-expression and discovery. Ready to step onto the stage with other curious minds like yours? Then… curtains
up, lights on!

After getting to know each other and buildung a strong team dynamic, you will create a theatre performance in small groups and finally bring it to life and present it to the local community. The stage is YOURS!

Important notes: this project is a YOUTH EXCHANGE! Youth Exchanges provide an perfect opportunity for groups of young people from different countries to meetand get to know each other. During a youth exchange, youngsters organise a series of activities (e.g. workshops, debates, simulation games etc.) around a theme of common interest.

No participation fees and travel expenses will be partially reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ guidelines.

Accomodation and food

Accommodation at the castle of Le Créneau in shared rooms. Showers and toilets are available in indoors. The washing machine will be available for collective use. Wi-Fi not available on site. Food will be provided and prepared by you with the help of the kitchen manager.
For teenager workcamps, rooms for girls and boys are separated but it may not be the case for adult projects. If you feel uncomfortable with that, please inform your sending organisation.
As Solidarités Jeunesses is willing to protect the environment, we don’t cook eat meat everyday. Of course, if you have any dietary restrictions or medical needs, don't forget to tell us about it so that meals can be adapted to you.

Project hosted by

ijgd is partner in this wonderful automn Youth exchange organized by it´s French partnerorganization Solidarités Jeunesses (SJ) and their local partner LE CRÉNEAU
AUVERGNE RHÔNE-ALPES. SJ s an association of nonformal education which has solidarity, voluntarybcommitment and a strong political will as its core values. Their choices and actions are influenced by their vision of society where progress is social, where the respect of human beings and the environment is a fundamental and shared value, where freedom to choose, to dream and to resist is innate or fostered. Le Créneau is an international hosting centre that resides in a magical place: the Prureaux castle! It is a place of openness to others and of meeting between the local population and young internationals who come for a few months of their lives to share an
experience of living together. Participating in a project at the Créneau means gaining independence
and confidence, asking questions about social issues such as interculturality, diversity, etc., learning to construct your own vision of the world and deconstructing your preconceptions and prejudices.

Work

Immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, officially listed as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France,” famous for its narrow streets and 19th-century stone canals that give the place a picturesque look.
In this maze of alleys, you'll help restore and renovate one particular alley, which has become damaged and unusable. The goal is to make it passable and pleasant again.
You’ll work under the guidance of a professional carpenter, who oversees road maintenance for the town. Each morning on weekdays, you'll remove the asphalt from a section of the street, replacing it with a stone-paved surface (“calade”). This will be a great opportunity to learn construction and masonry techniques. Since the street is long, the restoration will continue into 2026 to complete the full project.
In addition, you'll help clean and clear the historic canals, which are a key feature of the local landscape and require regular upkeep. You'll also help revamp a small square currently being used as a parking lot.
As in all of our projects, some of you will prepare meals for the group each morning, working as a team in the kitchen.
Interested in a meaningful experience full of learning opportunities? Join this project in a village that’s sure to win you over.

Accomodation and food

You’ll be staying in dormitories at Moulin Roumegous, a guesthouse located right next to the work site. Mattresses and pillows are provided—you just need to bring your sleeping bag.
Every day, together with the other volunteers, you’ll cook meals for the whole group, based on menus you create as a team. Special attention will be given to seasonal and local foods, and specific dietary needs can be discussed with the group leaders.

Location and leisure

On the edge of Tarn-et-Garonne, you'll enjoy a variety of leisure activities: visiting medieval villages, hiking, and more. Some activities will include meeting local residents to share your experience with them.
In the evenings and on weekends, let your imagination lead the way—host game nights, organize a folk dance, enjoy musical moments, etc.
And of course, don’t miss the international dinner, open to all, where you’ll share culinary specialties from your country with locals and visitors!

Project hosted by

Since 2002, the Citrus association has been organizing international workcamps in the Tarn-et-Garonne region. Every year, dozens of volunteers from around the world take part in public-interest technical projects at the heart of a village.
This year, the project will take place in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a medieval town recognized as one of the favorite villages of the French. Volunteers from all over the globe will come together to participate in a collective effort, promoting the values of sharing, cultural exchange, and solidarity upheld by Solidarités Jeunesses!

Work

During this Workcamp, you will be working on various projects at the association's site alongside international and local volunteers. You'll help develop the eco-village by building wooden furniture (pallets and simple woodworking), creating compost bins for outdoor spaces, and setting up the solar shower on site. This winter project will be a challenge since it takes place outdoors in unheated areas and under winter conditions (cold and windy). However, you’ll feel great knowing you’re actively contributing to the construction of a unique eco-village and leaving your mark!

Accomodation and food

You’ll be staying in a construction village in shared tents (like yurts, tepees) throughout the winter. Don’t forget to bring a suitable sleeping bag and warm clothing, as it will be cold and the nights can be chilly. The campsite has separate bathrooms and showers, as well as a kitchen area. Food will be provided and cooked by the volunteers in turns.

Location and leisure

You will have the chance to enjoy the association's campsite. You will also help to organise some activities in order to meet and socialise with local young people. Other leisure activities will be organised collectively depending on the wishes of the group and the available budget.

Project hosted by

Vir'Volt stands for InteRnational VolunTeer Village (in French). Since 10 years, the organisation has located right in the middle of nature, near a regional park. Hosting youth from all around the world, learning how to understand and appreciate differences. To plan and act together to protect the environment. To create a positive impact on the surrounding environment and the living there or simply passing by. These are our goals for this future village, which each year, is built thanks to youths who come and contribute, with solidarity as their driving force. Vir'Volt also aims to become fully eco-friendly and sustainable, which is reflected in our campsite: yurts and teepees as rooms, permaculture farming and gardening, water-saving projects, reducing and reusing waste. This small village will become great without sacrificing or damaging the surrounding environment whilst always searching for better and more eco-friendly ways of living.

Directions to meeting point

At the workcamp site in La Ferté Alais, on the afternoon of November 25th

Work

The Beaumotte Center is a vibrant and dynamic place that welcomes people from all walks of life every year. It is a space for learning and creativity where everyone can contribute. In this workcamp, you will explore the basics of carpentry through two concrete projects: the construction of a clothing-sharing space to promote solidarity and reuse, and the reorganization of a material storage area as part of a practical and sustainable approach to resource management.
Guided by our team, you will learn how to use various carpentry tools and techniques. You will also participate in daily collective tasks (cooking, cleaning, maintaining shared spaces), in a spirit of cooperation, respect, and conviviality. It will also be an opportunity to discover an alternative place that explores different ways of living and organizing collectively.

Accomodation and food

You will be hosted at our association in a shared two-level dormitory. You will sleep in bunk beds, with mixed gender and nationality accommodation. Please bring enough clothes and essentials, there is no washing machine on site. Wi-Fi is limited to one room and only available at specific times. This helps us create an atmosphere that prioritizes authentic and human connection!
You will take turns cooking in our professional kitchen, always with support from a team leader. Your group will be actively involved in collective life: kitchen, cleaning, gardening/animal care teams, etc. Food is provided by the association. Our ingredients are organic and/or local. Meat is served twice a week, and a fully vegetarian option is always available.
Please note: For the past 45 years, Beaumotte has been running a social project. We host minors under state protection and individuals in social reintegration programs. For this reason, alcohol is not permitted on site.

Location and leisure

Association du Centre de Beaumotte, Le Saussoir, 70190 Beaumotte-Aubertans. The village is in Haute-Saône, about 30 minutes from Besançon.
Afternoons and weekends are dedicated to leisure activities, which you will plan with the team leaders. You will also be encouraged to suggest and run your own activities. Some highlights include: visiting Besançon, nature walks, fun and intercultural workshops…

Project hosted by

Join us for a volunteer experience where learning, cooperation, and openness to others are at the heart of each day. Nestled in the countryside, you will live alongside young people from across Europe and around the world, all with diverse backgrounds but united by a shared desire to contribute to a common project. Here, every action has meaning, and every moment is a chance to grow together. Through sharing and mutual support, we turn our differences into a true source of richness!

Directions to meeting point

We will welcome you at the Center on the first day between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A meeting point will be organized at Besançon TGV Station (25870) at 7:30 p.m. to help train travelers arrive more easily. On the last day, departures will take place from Besançon TGV station between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. If you are arriving by plane, the most convenient airports are Basel, Orly, or Charles de Gaulle. You will then need to reach Besançon TGV station on your own.
