Arbeit

COCAT is looking for volunteers to join our ESC project and provide support across the incoming, outgoing, and ESC areas. Volunteers will assist with the back-office tasks involved in hosting international volunteers in Catalonia, sending Catalan volunteers abroad, and promoting international mobility and long-term voluntary service opportunities at both local and international levels.
Key responsibilities include:
Promoting international voluntary service and creating promotional materials.
Participating in informative sessions and training workshops.
Updating COCAT’s blog and social media channels.
Managing administrative tasks and supporting daily operations in the COCAT office in Barcelona.
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in international youth mobility projects while working closely with a motivated team in a dynamic office environment.

Unterkunft und Verpflegung

Volunteers will be responsible for finding accommodation in Barcelona, with COCAT providing support and guidance if needed. Depending on the rent of the chosen apartment, additional organizational support will be provided to cover food and transportation expenses.
Barcelona is a vibrant and dynamic city, but its size, fast pace, and high cost of living can feel overwhelming at first. Newcomers may initially feel a bit lonely, and finding affordable accommodation can be really challenging.
COCAT is committed to helping volunteers settle in and navigate these first steps, ensuring a smooth start to their experience.

Wer organisiert das Projekt?

COCAT is a platform organization that brings together international work camp organizations in Catalonia. It connects Catalan organizations that carry out activities in the social and educational field.
Our main mission is to promote international volunteering as a tool for personal growth, community development, and social transformation. We foster international volunteering primarily through two approaches:
- Sending Catalan volunteers abroad to participate in work camps, mid- and long-term projects (including ESC), training programs, and youth exchanges.
- Hosting international volunteers in work camp projects organized by our member organizations in Catalonia.

We are particularly committed to addressing inequalities and environmental issues. To this end, we:
- Support young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring they can also benefit from these volunteering experiences.
- Promote sustainable practices both within our projects in Catalonia and in the travel undertaken by volunteers for their projects.
