During this workcamp, your tasks will be diverse, combining manual, artistic and pedagogical work = From Pedagogy to Art”.
A major part of your experience will be supporting our Youth Camps, which focus on art, gospel music, and intercultural encounters. With 70 to 120 children and teenagers attending each of the three camps, you will interact with kids from various backgrounds, join their activities, and take on responsibility by leading small groups in daily tasks like catering and cleaning. We encourage you to bring your own fresh ideas by preparing a small workshop in advance—whether musical, athletic, or artistic—and to share a piece of your own culture through a creative presentation involving food, games, or pictures.
In addition to the youth work, you will contribute to our Artistic Project: Shaping the "House of Friendship." This area, featuring an old tent and several caravans, was originally renovated in 2015/16 as a symbol of hope and a safe space for refugees. Together with a team of international students from the Himmelsfels College, you will help bring new concepts to life. We will construct, paint, and decorate the site to ensure it remains a beautiful and welcoming place for everyone.
